hey creative souls! I’m drew, and my life story is eclectic and divergent. Stumbling into here feels a bit like the morning after in the Hangover. I am not entirely sure how I got here, know I was doing something prior, but damn if I can remember now.I have been a non-patent-creating inventor for years, a software dev for-ev-er (even building a provincial budgeting system that managed $30b budgets for 5+ years), and had my own startup in the mobile space for a few years (didn’t become a bajillionaire though, damn-it). Through it all, I have been helping others edit documents, stories, scripts, and writing creative blurbs everywhere that the spotlight of social media doesn’t shine. I could write a book on how NOT to go viral it seems.
A few months ago, in the efforts at reigning in a scam artist, a woman began to help me and we became friends. Turns out she has a pending tv series that has some very warm interest from LA, and I offered to peruse and pass along to some of my connections if it piqued my interest. It did so much that I offered to consult, edit and massage. It has been exhilarating to collaborate via WriterDuet. A very nice and easy interface. My calling seems to have materialized here as I spend time helping my ailing father, away from my regular workflow. Loving the creation of scenes that emerge from my mind’s eye. So, I am here, baring a bit of my soul to a new crowd, waving hello like a drunken sailor, wondering what the next few months will bring. Lastly, I actually have two callings. Writing plus my health pursuits. I created a youtube channel called #LetsDrewThis to help people engage with new ways of thinking, better ways to age, and to start taking control of their health.
