I'm a screenwriter looking for a job or even someone who can help me, read my scripts, cowrite with me. I've read everywhere that best thing to improve your writing, best way to find a job, is to network. But how? I'm from Italy, hardly know my friends but no one of them is a writer and those that are when it comes to writing and follow the dream, they run away.

If you network on Stage23 you engage in as many possible discussions. Give your opinion and contact people for collabs or projects. Be modest. If you have money you can attend filmmarkets and participate in the business. Furthermore you can write letters and make appointments. Its a lot of work, many filmmakers marry into the business or have family members already working. I don't want to discourage you, but its pretty hard to get things going. You just have to keep pushing without losing yourself.

Read and write stacks of ideas, then execute some by picking up a camera and doing a movie shoot with your friends.
Access Is easier now with the internet. There is no excuse for you to not have a reel. You just need to put in effort.
