Written Pitches

Hi all, quick question, I'm thinking of booking a pitch session with one of the executives on the script services page and the skype pitches are sold out so I'll be doing a written pitch. Thing is the pitches start at 8:30 pm PST on Sunday and for me over here in the UK that's 4:30 in the morning on Monday, and I'm working Monday. How does the submission process work for a written pitch? Can I just send my pitch over at any time before the slot I book or am I going to have to wake up at half 4 to send the pitch at my agreed time slot? Cheers

Beth Fox Heisinger

Callum, send your question directly to pitch and script services: WriterHelp@Stage32.com. Allen and/or Nick will be happy to help. ;)

Right, will do. Thanks Beth.

You just confused me. Do you mean you have to be available for a time period if you sent a written pitch?

I have used this service with a written pitch which was on target and helped me. I think when they speak to you in person they try to be "nice" and may not tell the truth ( so you will use the service again?) Most of the feed back from oral interchanges, in the past, was pretty useless to me.

( to me) Oral feed back about problems understanding concepts or where transitions could be better sometimes help but could be given in writing. Try asking specifically about what you want to know about the script and this may help you get the feedback you need, in writing.
