Screenwriting : Pitching concepts vs. Pitching completed spec scripts? by Michael Greco

Pitching concepts vs. Pitching completed spec scripts?

So, I’m sure I’m not the only person with this issue (and, no doubt, it’s a good problem to have) but I have way more story concepts than I have the time to write. Now, that said, I have one completed feature-length script, I’m in the process of completing a second one, and I genuinely enjoy the challenge of writing 90+ pages and trying to make it awesome. But... (There it is; the ‘but’ you knew was coming!) Is there a way to pitch concepts in advance of having to grind through the full script process? For example, every Stage32 pitching session (the paid 10 minute live pitches) is basically a concept pitch though you’re supposed to have the feature-length script already completed. Is there an alternative to this where a writer could pitch 4 or 5 concepts to someone instead? And might that actually be better for both parties? Thoughts? Opinions? I’m curious to hear what writers AND people on the production side of things have to say.

I work with both concepts and screenplays, but also books or comics. I dont think you can sell a concept of movie, unless its written down in a unique way, like a screenplay. There's also a business for treatments (30pg synopsis). But to come up with something that is really new, seems hard to me. Most filmmakers in the business have cool ideas/concepts for films.
