THOUGHTS on FADE-IN software?

I was wondering how pros feel about scripts born from Fade-In software? Is it in line with Hollywood producer standards? If not, what are its problems??

Patrick Pietrykowski

I have a French Canadian producer, whose name I will refer to you later, but he said it would be costly to do my script...about 3 million. I told him that CGI makes production cheaper and that he could always partner up.

He said it would be nice if a play house in Montreal or some other big city were to do it. I said that it was done in Huntingdon at Grove Hall to full houses almost every time.

He said if the Montreal did it then he would consider it a good test of the English market in Quebec and would re assure him and his investors. ie. Sodec would be easier to convince.

So he's thinking about it for three weeks. So I thought I'd ask your opinion and help to get it done in a big city to test the market.

It would certainly give me help in clinching the deal. I could ask him if he would like some changes done if that were the case. I've already re-visited the script to bring it down to 8 actors and re-written it in the areas I felt the theme was not well served in the last production.

I would certainly appreciate help and advice....
