Introduce Yourself : Multimedianic cinema by Alessandro Fantini

Alessandro Fantini

Multimedianic cinema

Over the last 20 years I worked as an independent artist in a plethora of media, spanning from painting to cinema, music and writing, conceiving my own creative method that I defined "multimedianic art", a poetic way to describe the simultaneous process through which I elaborate my visual, literary and musical works. Film-making embodies the most powerful multimedianic code since it allows me to express the sense of eerie mystery and irrational forces enveloping human life. So far I consider my "Hidden Mind City's Trilogy" formed by the indie movies "Nepente" (filmed in Rome), "EDOnism" (filmed in Tokyo) and "New York, a venture" (set in Manhattan) the principal core of my cinematographic output. As I have a lot of difficulties to find collaborators and producers in Italy, I often rely on my online networks to lay the fundation of my projects. In 2014 on Stage 32 I got in touch with the New York actors who helped me to make the almost "utopic" task to shoot in Manhattan a reality. Moreover, the movie was screened in 2017 at the first edition of the indie"Movies4movies" film festival of Dobbs Ferry, NY, thanks to an online trailer, while Italian festivals kept ignoring it. Few months ago a young filmmaker from Rabat asked me to represent Italy by shooting a segment for his international documentary movie  (while my country doesn't represent or support me in any way). That's the main reason I'm keeping looking for new partnership and collaborators on Stage 32 for my new current feature projects, such as "Nurse Blizzard", based upon my latest novel and posted on Stage32 last year.

In addition to movies, I'm also working on a series of online documentaries  about painting, literature, music and cinema whose latest episode you can watch below.

All the very best to all of you and enjoy networking!
