Shameless plug:
I am a lifelong writer who, after a hiatus spent toiling in legal services, has returned with a new screenplay, years in the making, finally ready for prime time on its seventh draft. It's a crime drama set in Boston in 1986, with a mostly female cast, which weaves together the mob, an interracial romance, the Len Bias tragedy, the AIDS epidemic, a gentrification fight, and various other strands. I took some big risks writing this, and I'm very proud of the result.
Here's a link to the logline, synopsis and script: https://www.stage32.com/profile/733839/Screenplay/Westphalia . I'm looking to get as much feedback as I can and, in the long term, find some professionals who can help me shepherd this through the industry. I have many other story ideas in the oven, but for now, I would be glad to call this my debut. Shout out if you're interested. Thank you!
