I feel so fortunate to produce my narrative short film, as well as a full length doc in a city like Detroit. The diversity of the landscape, and the allure of every location has been a blessing for getting footage. There are inherently huge difficulties to being far from the film industry, but it is made better by the things that make the city so unique. Even location access has been something that was not a struggle to acquire.
