Hello all! I have my first horror novella published, along with several short stories and a short film produced from one of my screenplays. I go back and forth between working on my next books and on my first screenplay while gaining experience as an editor. My goal is to become a well-known horror/thriller/historical author with countless stories that include latinx characters and history.
My biggest inspirations are 80's B movie horror, exploitation films, Giallo films, euro horror, pulp fiction novels, extreme films and literature, and Quintin Tarantino.
I would like to know if as a newbie would it be better for me to start with writing books or writing screenplays?

As a published author myself, I totally agree copyright protection gives you more control also over your novel and it is wonderful getting into the characters that you create
