I wrote a blog post on this, which I'll link at the end, but I'm not trying to spam, so I'll hit the key points here.
I'm genuinely curious why we haven't seemed to see any particular flow of independent serials, just TV programs streaming outside the larger commercial services.
I understand there are potential funding hurdles. I see how people could fail all along the process of trying to make it happen.
But I have had my ear to the ground on this subject for a very long time, so I'm surprised I haven't even heard of a big attempt with a dramatic failure or something of the like.
Does anyone have any insight why there hasn't been more attempts made at this?
And does anyone have any examples that I've missed over the years and should be on the lookout for the series and its story?
