Introduce Yourself : The Cradle Operation: Jacks Return by Todd LeRoux

The Cradle Operation: Jacks Return

Hello stage 32 my name is Todd LeRoux, I live in New Brunswick Canada. In the town of Miramichi, yes this is the correct spelling. Haha I wrote this novel sometime ago, and the notion to turn it into a screenplay crossed my mind. I have never wrote a screenplay before, my question is. Do I use the novel and attempt to translate the novel directly to a screenplay format? This is the last novel I have wrote using my pen name...it is also the firat in the Jack series of novels.

Hey, Todd LeRoux! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you! Welcome to our global community!

Aww, dude, you have such good timing! One of the best things about Stage 32 is that you can choose the executive who reviews your script - or in your case, manuscript - and we JUST started offering a service that advises you on how best to go about adapting a novel: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=66&affid=mjm

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but definitely reach out on the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) for insight into characters, dialogue, and even when you want to generate interest in a virtual table read! The Authoring & Playwriting Lounge is right up your alley, too! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time.
