Your Stage : I do not write about Mary Sues by Tajah Billingsley

I noticed that lately female characters show no weakness or are flawless. I stay away from that. In fact my main character gets her butt handed to her a couple of times. She is struggling like a lot. There are no cushions or easy ways out of trouble. Just because magic is involved doesn’t mean there’s no consequences that follow and affect the relationships in both a negative and positive way. It’s based off some harsh realities I had to face. Some might argue the way it progresses with the choices she makes she might not even be the hero but indeed the villain. War can blur the lines. By the way my project is called Grace Academy.
