My name is Warren, and I would like to share a little bit about my journey up to this point. Six months ago I decided to leave my job at the Department of Veterans Affairs of 10 years and pursue acting full time. Since leaving, I have been on set 4 times but all the work that I have been apart of was done in Atlanta Georgia. I have been looking for work locally here in Washington D.C. but I have not had any success with anything yet. I know that I was asked to post about working in Vancouver by Karen "Kay" Ross, I can say to date...I have yet to be cast for a project in Vancouver but I am open and welcome the opportunity to do so.
Welcome Warren, this is a great place to connect with so many great people.
Thank you Cylinda.
Glad to have you here Warren! You’ll find a very welcoming community here. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Warren! That is awesome. Congrats on following your dream. I feel you. I'm in Charlotte, NC. Done some extra work here but the industry has dried up, even before Covid. I'm only a short drive from Atlanta. I would like to do extra work there. Any recommendations for agencies looking at extras in Atlanta?

Hey, Warren! Thanks for posting!
My bad, I'm not sure why I asked about Vancouver. Haha! I'm originally from the DC area, so I would suggest checking out Liquid Entertainment/Talent Agency (mostly commercial stuff) there in Richmond and signing up for Women in Film & Video in DC (https://www.wifv.org/) for a great local organization to keep you "in the know". Most DMV talent travel between NYC and ATL for work, so it's great that you're already getting work outside the area! DC is lovingly referred to as "Docu-Wood", so be patient and flexible with the amount of work you can snag locally for acting.
