As you all know, our country (and the world, honestly...) has reached one of the highest levels of civil unrest in history, all within the last 365 days! As time has gone by, we continue to hear from studios, production companies, and execs alike, with plans to roll out various initiatives to promote change within the industry; vowing to increase the representation of diverse voices/stories amongst their platforms. After the recent enlightenment of my hidden-in-plain-sight calling as a screenwriter, I could not help myself from doing the necessary research on the few well-known production companies that have done their part in producing authentic black content over the course of my brief, twenty-one year long, stint here on Earth. With that being said, I've learned that 3 Arts Entertainment has been the powerhouse behind some of my favorite shows of color; includes shows such as Issa Rae's "Insecure" and Chris Rock's "Everybody Hates Chris". If willing to connect, I would love to hear from someone with a current or previous relationship with 3 Arts Entertainment.
Wishing all of my fellow creatives a productive week!
