I was in conversional therapy and kind of stopped being productive for many years after finishing college in Toronto Film School, it was a great hands on school and I had already projects planned with colleagues and friends I made, sadly I went back to Mexico, forced into conversional therapy to stop being gay, didnt work, got as depressed as possible and It feels like my whole 20s went by without much happening other than trying to wake up every morning. I write movies about resilience, I write movies on drag queens and Lovecraftian Elder Gods, my dream goal is to make a ¨Gay Donnie Darko¨ that is the script I am obssesing with the most.
I have recently won an award for in kind production of a short in Blood Window 2020 pitching with ¨The Last Homo¨: about the last homosexual on earth deciding the faith of mankind by facing an Elder God. I am also developing a Drag Queen Doc called Xalapa is Burning (CRFIC workshop for development 2020) based on my experiences from being a homophobic closeted man into becoming a drag queen, and a horror thriller on conversional therapy called ¨The White Room¨ (Bloodwindow Pitching selection 2019, feature). Lastly I am close to finishing my first no budget film, a LGBT+ Slasher on a drag queen killing the teens that invade her home.

Hi Gabriel, I'm sorry you had to go through such a hard time during your 20s. I love you write about resilience and bring up LGBT+ characters that are so important to represent. You have a path and a great purpose. I'm so happy to have you in this site.

I love your introduction, Gabriel... so well expressed. While not being a huge proponent for listing sexual orientation within the work setting, your disclosures here make perfect sense and are concurrent with the two entertainment properties you reference, as you are indicating your knowledge, personal experience, and authorship on the subject. "The last homosexual on earth facing an Elder God to decide the faith of mankind" is an awesome story premise, great logline. I hope a distribution vehicle here catches sight of it and inquires about a TV version. Where can we see the short? I support your journey. Good luck!
