Transitioning a podcast into a regular docuseries on netflix or hulu.

In 2015 I found myself in the mists of a really nasty custody battle. After hastily hiring an attorney and getting my butt kicked, I fired my attorney and took on the huge task of teaching myself family law in order to represent myself pro-se. I was successful the next two times in court which resulted in my winning custody of my son. At the time I had started an IG page for other fathers like myself who were going through the meat grinder of family court. I then created a podcast for fathers who didn't have a voice to tell their story. To date I have worked with thousands of fathers from around the world. My goal is to take my podcast and turn it into a docuseries on one of the major streaming platforms. I've really been spinning my wheels trying to figure out what exactly the process is to do something like this. I've made a few connections in the industry in order to help me with this project but I've met nothing but dead ends. I've been told I need an agent to even attempt something like this as places like netflix will not even acknowledge me without one. I'm hoping someone here could give me some advice or point me in a direction to go with this. Thank you!

Sounds like you have the data available, why not just make your own documentary? Don't worry about Netflix or anyone else.

I plan on doing that as well, but Id really like to get the fathers truth on a national platform to really get people seeing and understanding what fathers go through on a regular basis at the hands of the family court system.

Look up Cassie Byrd in San Francisco. You might find her documentary to be interesting.
