Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter seeking representation/connection by Trey Alessio

Hello all,

My name is Trey Alessio, and I’m a screenwriter from Des Moines, Iowa. I’ve been writing my whole life. I still remember a creative writing section in my fourth grade class, which I believe sparked an interest in storytelling. I still have my yellow creative writing folder from fourth grade.

In college, I majored and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and got some experience in a different version of storytelling.

It wasn’t until about 2013, when I decided to download a script and taught myself how to write a screenplay.

Since then, screenwriting has become my passion. I’ve written everything from crime-drama to rom-com to sci-fi both in the feature and TV pilot realm. I’ve taken professional classes and mentorship with Jacob Krueger and his studio and attended multiple screenwriting events. I’ve entered scripts in to numerous contests and fellowships—some with great notes and others with some constructive criticism.

I finally feel like my writing is ready for the next level. I have a bunch of stories that I truly believe in, and I’m ready for this dream to become reality.

I would love to connect with as many people as possible on here and hopefully find representation.

My goal for 2021 is to take things in to my own hands and shoot a short film. I’m excited to pursue this passion further, create a career and learn as much as I can along the way.
