Animated Kickstarter Video Using Mocap

Hey all,

I've been continuing to work on a fully animated kickstarter video for my upcoming novel. This is still pretty early in the process and there is a lot of clean up to do, Pyrite's body isn't animated yet, environments need to be added - it won't have a black background - and everything needs to be rendered at a higher quality. Oh, ya, needs sounds design and music as well.

But I'm extremely excited about what I'm able to do with a tiny team. It's me, a 3d modeler, a texture artist, and a concept artist who drew the character desigsn. This is all done using facial motion capture using Live Link Face from Epic and body motion capture using RadicalAI.

The era for individuals to be creating their there own content is pretty much upon us and it's very exciting!

When I tried to play it, it said, "Sorry - Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here."

Also getting an error, I've seen some of your postings on IG. What are you using for your facial setup for capturing movement? Iphone AR Kit setup? And I'd love to connect to hear more about your project!

Thanks for letting me know. I updated the link, but I can't seem to change the thumbnail, I'll keep playing with it to figure it out. - but here is the new link - and new edit. - https://vimeo.com/542967168

Now it says "Sorry, couldn't find that page".

The whole clip plays for me now...

Ah, HA! Yes, now it plays here, in the post. Great work, Kane! I feel like it needs music to help set the tone. Also, when the gold character's frame drops out, is that supposed to be the character dropping out of frame? I think the gag would work better if the background stays put and he drops out of frame. Finally, do we see them together in anything? Like a book cover or a poster? I feel like I want to see that artwork and I want to see them all together to understand their relationships and the premise a little better. Otherwise, it looks great and the voiceover actors are super fun!

Thanks Karen. Ya, I just fixed the link again. Vimeo has some crazy settings. Overall, think of this video as an animatic. So, all the things you mentioned will be fixed, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get them all into the same shot without having to have extended idle animations on all the characters. This is still a long way from finished :)

here's a new version where they are all in the same single camera, but now I have to fill in all the gaps where they aren't moving :) and still clean up everything.
