If you feel like quitting think about why you started.
This one-sentence quote keeps me going when I get rejected or feel depressed.
I started because I want to tell stories. I started because it is the one thing that makes me feel alive and awakens my soul. I started because I owe it to my ancestors who struggled sometimes just to survive. I started because I know what I want to do and am doing it.
Why did you start?

I love this question. I got started because I love the challenge of putting together a tribe and making something happen. It's the same thing that gives me frustration, but at the end of the day, I get to do what I love every day so I always push through.

I started because I have accumulated a lot of info and stories that can't really be shared except as fiction.

I started because I wanted to write a screenplay with my hometown of Niagara Falls, NY as the setting. There are many special things about it and I think it deserves to have its story told. The last movie that I can remember that depicted it was Canadian Bacon, and as much as I miss John Candy, I think I can do better than that:)

Great question... I started writing because that was the best way for me to communicate. I got into this business because I love watching a story come to life. I want to prove to myself that I can do this and there's a story (or 2, or 3...) that I want to tell. Thank you for the re-motivation :)
Stephen Katz but that was from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls...my screenplay has the American side as the setting.
Stephen Katz, the giveaway is the ornate guard rail that is exclusive to the Canadian side of the Falls!
I started, and continue, because I can't NOT write. It keeps calling.
