Hey beautiful filmmakers! I'm doing research on the prices streaming platforms pay for new content (Film/TV Series) Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to find this information? I figure that this is a big part of the planning process and market analysis of any film production like cinema box office numbers were part of the planning pre-COVID. I’m looking for the price ranges for new Films & TV Series, a platform like Netflix would pay for a licensing deal.

There are none which can be relied upon. VOD numbers are PRIVATE numbers, unlike cinema box-office, and most platforms will publish fantasy numbers pushing their current favorite show for monetization (recent example is the bogus box-office claim for King Kong, which referred to private online streaming numbers to bolster it's claim of blockbuster). In recent meetings with the digital analysis people at Peacock, Disney+, etc. not one of them could point to anything other than public pronouncements from their competitors as to numbers. Welcome to the new age. On the other hand, mainstream studios are now in the same boat as independents, which isn't a bad thing.
