Introduce Yourself : They Call Me The Mad Pulp Bastard by Bill Cunningham

Hello, everyone -

My name is Bill Cunningham and I've worked on the indie side of the entertainment business since 1995. I'm a screenwriter, author, producer, and marketer focusing mainly on genre material. For example:

- I was the co-screenwriter and Executive in Charge of Production for SCARECROW, a tiny indie horror movie that spawned two sequels.

- While at York Entertainment I was their Director of Marketing of over 65 films, creating titles, posters, campaigns, and so forth. After getting a bit burnt out I wrote the live stage shows for the DVD PREMIERE AWARDS show for Variety, and the VIDEO HALL OF FAME AWARDS also for Variety and Sony. I was also paid to write some screenplays for several indie outfits.

I went on to produce and develop content for several DVD releases for a variety of indie companies.

Lately, I have been focusing on my publishing label PULP 2.0, redesigning and re-releasing comics, pulp and developing a line of indie film books that show how successful indie genre films are conceived and produced. I've been lucky enough to work on TALES OF FRANKENSTEIN, DEATH KISS, AUTOMATONS, and most recently NEMESIS. I am wrapping up a book on Roger Corman's epic scifi feature BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS that was made on a not-so-epic budget.

In addition to that, I have been licensing comics and other pulpy material from other countries and have the media rights to several comics that I will bring to your VOD platform of choice.

I am interested in speaking to people who get stuff done no matter what the budget. My nickname comes from the fact I like to have a lot of work going at once, so I can work quickly...
