Hello Everyone!
Hoping you're having a great weekend!
I just wanted to share a quick insight about the universal language of business, known as accounting and how important it is to get your film off the ground.
Can the creative pitch alone get the film made?
One very effective way to be credible in the eyes of the financiers is to learn their language. To elevate your way ahead of the pack, first is to pitch your script and to create a confidence that the film can be produced within the defined dollar limits.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this, and maybe some advice for us accountants on how to work well with the creatives. Pleased to connect with you all. Thank you.
Hello Alliah! Great question and I think you are right. It's important to know the film finance language and know what makes a budget work, a project saleable and where profits can be recouped for the investors.
Well, frankly folks, I wrote a book all about this. If you want the link I can share it if you message me.
Indeed, Cherelynn. Afterall filmmaking is about the money as it is about the creative.
Great to hear that Shay! Thank you for sharing it with us.
