On schedule and on budget are things that are partially dependent on our screenplays - were they written for budget and schedule? or are they logistical nightmares?
But we aren't hiring the UPM, the production company is.
UPMs can be valuable contacts to cultivate - because they do know lots of production companies. But you have to do that yourself.
