I have always enjoyed poetry. Whenever I get free time I make recordings reading poems.

Why not make it into a short film? You have the makings of a very moving and intense 2 min short film. I do short musical promo videos in which I try to capture that intensity.
Thats a good idea but without necessary tools it will be difficult to make a movie.
Sorry to say it - but that's a deftest attitude. There isn't a filmmaker around who has ALL the necessary tools. Learn to Use what you got. You got a cell phone - use it. Making a movie is always difficult - no matter how much equipment you have.
