I was fortunate enough to have a consultation with David Harris. He went above and beyond in our consultation, he gave me invaluable feedback on my work. I would definitely recommend the career development call or script consultation.
I echo that. Knowing which consultants are good ones is invaluable and whilst my pitch feedback from David Harris left me a little perplexed I'll add him to my list of proposed consultants based on your feedback, so many thanks for sharing.
As soon as I finish my latest spec script, I plan to begin with a Stage 32 consultation with an industry professional already chosen. Last script I started with competitions, gained accolades (and covers for suggested revisions), then consultation before pitching, but this time going straight to the pro.
Sounds like you are on a good track there. I followed a similar plan last year with successful pitches resulting in script requests and a couple of meetings. Alas, nothing sold as yet.
I admit my first route eventually landed my script with the producer of a multi-billion dollar company after many, many "pass" replies. Still waiting on his decision, but hoping since he's had it for months that's a good sign. (don't burst my bubble people lol!)
I just wanted to say. I wasn’t happy because I got a deal out of it. I was happy because he gave honest advice. Hollywood is a business and not all businesses succeed. Our job as screenwriters is to do something extraordinary, that is, to succeed even though so many people tell you it can’t be done. I want all of you to keep following your dreams no matter what anyone tells you. I believe in all of you!
HI Eddy. I got that. I had a consultancy with Andrew Kersey (I think I spelt that right) and it was so collaborative and energising I was buzzing from it.

lol. I'm in the same boat, with a script with a producer now for nearly six months and counting.

Hey Dan, they have different prices. You can look under script services and see what works for you. Good luck!
