Learning how to finance the film -a huge plus for us!

Good Morning Colette, it is good to hear from you. I have learned in Hollywood if you really want to make it happen it has to be a slate of 5 films. Through the slate the risk is spread across all 5 of them. I had 5 films together sometime ago and i was not able to get the money to make them, so i am starting over and will approach it different this time. Thank you so much Colette, at this point i have one script and will be getting more. Crowdfunding is great, most of the people on here are film makers and will not be able to contribute the money i need. I have tried crowd funding before and it did not work out that good, but many thanks for the idea. I will keep working on this money thing until i get it worked out. And posting in the Lounge is great and i will always remember to do just that. I really believe everyone would be producing if they had the money it is something must be given great attention. Keep in touch and make things happen.

What are the budgets of your films or the overall budget for 5 films? I’d love to know if you are successful and how you pitched. I know of several possible investors who might invest, so I am told, for the last 80% but I don’t know how to get the first 20% so it’s impossible. I’m good at crowdfunding but not for a million or so that I’d need. I’ve studied Brandon Sanderson who many of you know recently broke all records and raised nearly $42 million on Kickstarter for 4 novels, admittedly not film but it shows it can be done. His intro video was plain, just him talking but what he did have was a huge fan base before he started. Psychologists have stated that the more popular a crowdfund is the more others want to contribute, so success brings success.

Good Morning, Jane, It is good to communicate with you, I sent you a friend request, At this point Jane I have not gotten all 5 films together. Once I get them together I will look at the budget. Once is set the budget I will come up with as many strategies as possible to raise the money to make them.
