Hi! I'm Kristen Painter. I'm a USA Today Best Selling author. I started out traditionally published, writing urban fantasy for Orbit Books, a division of Hachette, then went indie after two series with them. I'm now firmly ensconced in indie publishing to the point that I teach a workshop with another author, Roxanne St. Claire, on how to successfully launch yourself in self publishing.
I'm probably best known for my Nocturne Falls paranormal romance series. I've had some movie/tv interest but nothing's come of it. Looking to put my books in front of the right people! My readers are always telling me I should make them into a tv series. lol
I've been doing this for over 10 years and have a lot of books out. I'm too busy to count. (Kind of joking, kind of not.) At one point, I licensed my Nocturne Falls series to allow others to write in it and was then publishing 16 authors in that program.
I also write some cozy paranormal mysteries and paranormal women's fiction. I was one of the 13 launch authors in Feb 2021 who jumpstarted the PWF movement (older heroines in paranormal fiction).
