Do you think this will be an actual improvement in experience? Personally - when 5.1 surround came in I actually switched it off (still do) in favor of regular stereo because the mix is always impossibly low. I wonder what this will do.

I’ve always found it odd that they keep pushing immersive sound without an accompanying immersive picture. The image is still 2D, but the audio is 3D. It’s unnecessary, especially for home systems. Sometimes I think stereo is too much for home systems, considering how we view them from such a distance.
