Screenwriting : Question by Kenton Blythe

Question

I'm holding a reading here in Toronto for a Horror film I've been working on. It's the 3rd reading for this film I have put together.

My goal this time is to get experience professionals at this one for feedback and to gauge interest.

I'm currently in the middle of cold calling produciton companies to invite people, and I realized I'm not quite sure who I should be reaching out to specifically.

When I go on their websites I'm seeing people with titles like "head of business & legal affairs" and "senior producer of VP television".

What are the titles of the people I should be reaching out to in order to achieve my goal?

Nah. Anyone with "business affairs" or "senior whatever title" aint coming to a stranger's table reading. Why would they- they can boss interns and desk workers to attend.

Reach out to ppl in agency mailrooms, assistants, crew- anyone hungry & looking to be put on financially and leap frog corporate ladders.

Shellie Schmals

Hi Kenton Blythe - I suggest going to those at the manager or coordinator level. VPs will be too busy, bit those titles are the ones who have the ear of the VP and would be excited to "impress the boss" with new material.
