What does that mean?

Dan Guardino makes a very good point Kevin. Writers have ideas piling up all around them. Some are great others are not. But being offered shares to write someone else’s idea is not appealing. The more experienced the writer, the less appealing it gets.

What does that mean?

Well. A lot of people have an idea. They may even write it out in some form. But converting this to a screenplay can take up to a year perhaps. It is not a simple task.

I would estimate several times a year people come to this forum, offering a profit share if someone is willing to write a screenplay for them. But as writers, we have endless ideas.

If you have completed the screenplay. Put it on scriptrevolution.com and see if it gets traction. But everyone on here is trying to promote their own screenplays. So if it is finished, start building a reputation. See if you can get an agent or manager.

Maybe the simplest way to explain is that a concept is nothing more than a (story) 'idea', from there you step by step build your story (idea).

Well I am willing to work with other writers to make it happen.
