Yes! Today we celebrate the Official Launch of Happy Fun Time! This is a silly little thought exercise we do here to help engage Newbies and Oldtimers alike.
Now, for those of you who haven't done this before, here's how we do this thing:
I will start with a line or two. And, ANYONE who wants to can add to it.
DO NOT POST THE PREVIOUS LINE! Or, my squadron of Drunken Elfmades will come for you.
Are we clear? Okay, here we go:
Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?

Nora stared into the dark well of crumbs and green porcelain while massaging the ridge of her right eyebrow. She could hear the damned dog making a ruckus in the back yard again. He wouldn't shut up ever since the neighbors had brought home that turd brown ankle-biter.

The Official Launch of Happy Fun Time! :D
A scary, cookie-craving monster -- the size of an action figure -- stuck its head out from behind a toaster on the counter. Its dark eyes glared at Nora.

"Cookie!" roars the pint-size Monster.
"Get the chip outta here," Nora shoots back. "This is Southwest Bingobongofripfrip Lane, not Sesame Street."
"Kiss my macarons!"
The Monster twists the shade control to Dark, steps on the lever to turn the toaster on and leaps into a slot.
