Hi everybody. I’m a first time screenwriter creating my first script. I’m 70 years old and throwing away a career of 45 years as a CPA. I’m hooked on my venture into the film industry. About 2 years ago I took the plunge and started out by finding financing, investing in, and becoming an executive producer for several films in development. My current passion is writing the script from an original brain explosion, that convinced to give this a try, and challenge and direct my imagination more than I’ve imagined! My film is a rom- centering on a race car driver/moonshine runner pursuing unrequited love with an aspirating country singer/songwriter. It’s all about fun, country music, racing, and challenging personal persistence and dreams.
I’m seeking 2 Champions - 1 in the country music field and 1 in the racing (NASCAR, XFinity series and dirt track fields) - to assure reality to the film, and bring joy to moviegoers.
I’d look love to meet any one interested in exchanging ideas. Thanks to all and to STAGE32 for a wonderful experience.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the encouragement you have shown to me. Nearly two years ago, when I took the plunge into the moviemaking industry, after forty-five years as a CPA, I was a complete fish out of water. Everything was so new, different and exciting to me. I quickly realized and discovered myself in a world that was so unique and challenging compared to the long-term dedication of helping others to achieve their dreams. Though my work was professionally satisfying, I had a sense that, based on my creativity and outside the box thinking, there was a need to release the passion and fire within me to do more. To become more than I was, and unleash the fire and passion within me, I needed to release the repressed desire in my heart, to have a positive and lasting influence on others, while challenging my imagination to impact others through my personal experience, commitment to others, and to tell a story. With the support of a group of accomplished filmmakers, all who embraced and mentored me, I realized the film industry is a place I belong. I am progressing through my first screenwriting experience, by writing a rom-com about two essential and compelling aspects of Southern culture - Dirt Track Racing and Country Music. My desire and passion is to create a story that will make an audience laugh, be excited, participate as they desire in joining in great Country music, but yet, and most importantly, that they look within and realize that through commitment and persistence, their dreams will become a reality.
The contributions from the established filmmakers, the wannabees, and experts I've been exposed to through STAGE32 has opened a whole new world to me. It has confirmed my belief that my choice to join my fellow brothers and sisters in this crazy, yet fascinating world of filmmaking, is not only what I want, but what I need to be self fulfilled. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement in my journey.
You're welcome, Stan Ruszkowski. Your Dirt Track Racing, Country Music Rom-Com sounds fun. I'd watch it. Best to you on writing it and hope you find success on Stage 32.
