Hey, Stage32 community! I'm Madeline, a writer/performer based in Nashville, TN. I started my career in the music industry but left to have more time to pursue what really fuels me. I perform improv comedy regularly and am currently working on a sketch show as an actor and contributing writer.
I'm hoping to keep the fire going, writing and performing, whatever form that may take. I'm also excited to meet with other writers and creatives, especially those based in Nashville!

Madeline Farr Congratulations - that's awesome. I'm in Nashville as well. I'd love to hear about where you're performing improv. I'm a writer but I did one improv years ago and it was FUN!

Madeline Farr that is a wonderful confluence, I believe it's all improv,
yes! and ...
in writing comedy-adventure scripts with ensemble cast I've been striving to create scripted scenes that somehow capture the feel and spirit of improv
and I find it an interesting challenge, because of course generally speaking we are not going to leave room for improv in a scripted format,
so it's up to the writer to build the creative power of the imagination to manifest the types of "scenes" evocative of improvisation that you want to create and witness!

Welcome to the Stage 32 community, Madeline! We're so excited to have you here!
The best way to network here on Stage 32, is just to put yourself out there by posting, commenting, and connecting with people from all over the world. The most effective networking comes from building genuine relationships over time. A great way to start is by checking out the Acting and Screenwriting Lounges where you can join discussions with other performers, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you.
You can find the lounges through the toolbar at the top of your browser window. Simply click on "Lounge", which will direct you to a new page listing all of the current lounges available to you. Then select "Acting" or "Screenwriting". I hope to see you over there!

Madeline Farr Awesome. I checked their website and they have a number of shows. If you ever know when in advance you'll be there, my wife and I can try our best to catch a show and support. At some point, we'll make it there and hopefully see you.

Hi friends, I'm a professional screenwriter. I've written several feature films and TV series. My thesis was about the hero's journey, with a focus on independent cinema in America. I'm interested in collaborating on screenwriting projects in a group setting. My expertise is in designing and expanding the story, as well as refining the structure.

Cool, Madeline Farr. I've only seen a few episodes, but "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" is hilarious. I need to get back to watching it. Do they record the improv performances at the Third Coast Comedy Club?
