While our internationally acclaimed documentary "Land of the Free: Out of the Shadows" (which exposes the seedy and sinister underbelly of the trophy hunting industry as no film has ever done before) finished its film festival run last year, there remain a few outstanding (and notably prestigious) festivals where we are still in competition. One of those is the London Director Awards of 2024 where I am delighted and proud to announce we have just been Officially Selected as a Finalist by an esteemed panel. Finalist selection has come out of 3,188 submissions from 102 countries of the world. FilmFreeway has long included this festival in the TOP 100 BEST REVIEWED FILM FESTIVALS.
For those new to following my page, this film has already won a slew of awards from around the world. We filmed (both overtly and covertly) in South Africa, Botswana, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, London, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Australia. The film features some very famous names as well as indigenous people on the ground where trophy hunting takes place. It features veteran politicians and true heroes and champions. Some of the names you may or may not recognise include but are not limited to: Sir Roger Gale, Dame Jane Goodall, Dame Virginia McKenna, Will Travers OBE, Eduardo Gonçalves,
Priscilla Presley, Tippi Hedren, President Ian Seretse Khama (Botswana), Peter Egan and it is the last project that South African born Hollywood actor best known for his role as Lord Ba'al in "Stargate SG1", CLIFF SIMON, ever filmed before his very untimely and tragic demise.
We are now developing a gritty, edge-of-the-seat political thriller (feature film not documentary) based on the nefarious machinations behind the British political system attempting to block proposed legislation announced by her late majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming law. Hold onto your hats for that one!!
