I've been writing fiction as a hobby for a while, and I’ve got a story I truly believe could make an awesome series. But I’m new to the industry and not sure where to start.
If you’ve been in the game, what’s the best move for someone like me? Should I focus on learning screenwriting first, or is there a way to pitch my idea without that background? Just trying to figure out how to get my foot in the door.
I’m motivated and ready to put in the work—I just need some direction. Any advice would be huge!
Hi, Anas Shaikh. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your posts from the Filmmaking/Directing Lounge and Authoring & Playwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because you posted the same thing in the Screenwriting Lounge. Stage 32 doesn't want members posting the same thing in different main Lounges on the same day because it can clog up the Lounges and other members’ posts won’t be seen. I also moved these posts because they aren't related to filmmaking, authoring, and playwriting.
In the future if you want to post about something in different main Lounges, change the posts significantly so they aren't the same. Or if you want to put the same post in different main Lounges, you can put the post in one Lounge one day, then put the same post in another Lounge on a different day.
I also moved your post from the TV Series Pitch Document Writing Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge. The TV Series Pitch Document Writing Lounge isn't active anymore.
Let me know if you have any questions.
