Hey Stage 32 Family!
Excited to finally introduce myself here! I’m Oswald Hunter, a full-time actor, filmmaker, and writer with a passion for emotionally-driven storytelling across film, books, and performance. Whether it’s through the lens of a camera or the pages of a book, my goal is always the same—to create stories that move people, challenge perspectives, and leave a lasting impact.
My Creative Journey
I started my career as a writer, crafting stories that explore human resilience, memory, and emotional depth. This naturally led me to acting, where I found a deep love for bringing characters to life. My experience in front of the camera ultimately shaped my journey as a filmmaker, allowing me to tell stories from multiple creative perspectives.
My previous short film, For Better or Worse, was praised at the Cannes World Film Festival and earned a Best Low Budget Short Film nomination. That experience solidified my passion for creating visually compelling, character-driven films.
My Current Project: Faces
Right now, I’m bringing Faces to life—a deeply personal short film that serves as a proof of concept for a feature-length adaptation. Set in a 1980s hospital, Faces follows a neurologist who uses music therapy to help a pianist suffering from visual agnosia, a condition that prevents him from recognizing faces—including his own wife’s.
This film is all about memory, identity, and the power of music as a bridge to human connection. I’m incredibly excited about this project and would love to connect with fellow filmmakers, cinematographers, composers, producers, and film lovers who share the same passion for meaningful storytelling.
Let’s Connect!
I’m here to network, collaborate, and learn from this amazing community. Whether you’re a filmmaker, actor, writer, or just someone who loves storytelling, I’d love to connect!
