Screenwriting : A Little Creativity by Bill Jordan

A Little Creativity

Amazing what a little creative inspiration will do. I was noodling over "What If" questions recently and an idea for a short screenplay popped into my head. The result was Too Not To: "Two companions contemplate the challenges of staying in place as they watch a third explore the richness of the world’s experience."

Maurice Vaughan

Too Not To sounds interesting, Bill Jordan. I love asking "What If" for script ideas and scene ideas.

Bill Jordan

Yeah, thanks Maurice Vaughan . Simple exercise but paid off. I've had some success in a few contests and, it's relatively simple to produce, so I may tackle this one on my own.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Bill Jordan. Congratulations on the success! I'm outlining a feature script. I came up with the idea by thinking "what if I mix this movie with that movie." A Fantasy/Adventure and Action.

Inspirations can hit all the time. Sometimes it's simply enjoying coffee outside in the sun or like you experienced it by letting your thoughts run about "What if" questions. Sometimes it happens very unexpected. But congrats on turning it into something!

Sam Rivera

Sounds like a fascinating concept! I love how a simple "What If" can spark something so compelling. Excited to see where you take Too Not To!

Bill Jordan

Thanks, all. It's sitting for a while as I am currently outlining another feature concept right now. Interestingly, which also started with..."What If?" It's at that stage where I'm debating "Is it a thing or not". When, if fact, I KNOW that I'll only know if it's a thing after I get it written. Grrrr!
