“Turning Real-Life Chaos into Comedy: Meet Good Luck, Russell – My New Single-Camera Sitcom”

Just finished rewriting the pilot for Good Luck, Russell — a sharp, character-driven single-camera comedy about what happens when a grumpy 70-something is forced to rely on the one man less capable than he is: his brand-new caregiver, Good Luck — a well-meaning disaster in sneakers.

Set in a chaotic three-story condo in Orange County, the show follows Russell, a sharp-tongued retiree who just wants peace, root beer, and the remote. But thanks to Good Luck, he gets maple syrup instead (because “maple is from a tree root, right?”), a personal trainer he didn’t ask for, and a parade of dog-walking disasters courtesy of his daughter Jennifer and her relentlessly upbeat boyfriend Larry.

It’s The Kominsky Method meets Community with a side of Frasier and a whole lot of bacon-related bribery. There’s sarcasm, heart, chaos, and a lot of dogs. Would love to connect with producers, reps, and fellow comedy writers. Let’s make something hilarious together.

I suggest adding a profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. And if you have a picture, your profile will show up when someone searches for you.

You could post your pilot on your profile. Producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your pilot on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
