Entry 033
A lot has shifted recently—which, yeah, kind of sucks—but I honestly believe everything happens for a reason. My main saleswoman was injured, so I haven’t been able to have her lead the sponsorship and vendor outreach like we planned. On top of that, several artists have dropped in and out of the competition. The constant re-entries and last-minute changes have been frustrating, to say the least.
Securing the venue’s also been more of a grind than expected. We’ve had to reschedule twice already, but fingers crossed this next date sticks—I’m determined to keep this event in the summer window.
That said, there’s still a lot of good news. I’ve brought in an event planner to help manage things, I’ve gained more time to organize, and people are still genuinely excited about the vision. I’ve had folks contribute ideas—some we’ve used, some we’ve shelved—but either way, I appreciate the energy and support.
This whole process is a reminder that big ideas come with big challenges. But the goal has always been to do something major—to build systems, assemble the right team, and eventually take things to an even bigger stage. I’ve got some huge plans in the works, and yeah, there will be wins and losses along the way… but it’s all part of the journey.
At the end of the day, I still believe it’s going to be more than worth it.

Sorry to hear your main saleswoman was injured, Samuel Chambers. I hope she recovers soon! And sorry to hear about the other issues. Hope they work out! Congratulations on the progress!
"This whole process is a reminder that big ideas come with big challenges." You're right. I'm dealing with that on some projects. Keep pushing.
