HEMICELLIA: FLAMES OF BROTHERHOOD

PROLOGUE: When Magic Was Law

In the twin nations of Hemestylia and Skarchan, magic divided humanity.

In Hemestylia, magicians ruled. In Skarchan, the people resisted. Magicians considered commoners weak, tools to serve, unworthy of power. That was until two boys—one from each land—met in the hallowed halls of the Academy of Light, where magic and combat were taught not only for war, but for justice.

Their names: Nehin Chan and Khandapa.

CHAPTER 1: Brothers of the Academy

At the Academy, Nehing was quiet, strategic, and humble. Khandapa was bold, gifted, and often reckless. Their rivalry in duels soon turned into an unbreakable friendship. They sparred by moonlight, studied under ancient scholars, and climbed towers to whisper dreams of changing the world.

One night, under falling stars, they sat on the roof.

KHANDAPA:

“One day, I’ll make magicians and commoners equal.”

NEHING CHAN (smiling):

“Then I’ll be the one who stands beside you when it happens.”

They promised never to fight for kings, but only for the people.

CHAPTER 2: Blossoms in Winter

In the snowy valley of Hemestylia, Nehing met Chabu, a healer and daughter of a humble farmer. They met when Nehing was wounded in a training accident. Her hands trembled as she bandaged his side.

CHABU:

“I thought magicians didn’t bleed.”

NEHING (grinning):

“I’m no magician. I’m a man trying to understand people.”

They fell slowly in love—through quiet walks, long letters, and shared silences. She wasn’t a fighter, but her heart was braver than steel. He would tell her:

NEHING:

“When I hold you, I forget there’s war beyond these hills.”

They married under the moonlight, wrapped in blue and silver. She was his peace. He was her fire.

CHAPTER 3: A Hidden Threat

As years passed, corruption in Hemestylia grew. The king sent magicians to seize lands, punish rebels, and enslave dissenters. Nehing refused the crown’s orders.

He defeated corrupt magistrates in Snordhohatis, Srdnn, and Snordndkitchu. Villagers hailed him as the Protector Without Crown. The king branded him a traitor.

And so, twenty elite killers were sent after him.

⚔️ CHAPTER 4: The Final Order

Location: Fallen Temple of Hemicellia

NEHING stands bloodied, alone. Behind him, a crumbled monument reads: "The strong protect. The wise guide. The good serve."

The elite arrive—ten magicians, ten warriors. At their center: Archmagus Dorval.

DORVAL:

“The king sends his regrets. Your mercy has become a disease.”

NEHING (drawing sword):

“Then come catch it.”

A storm of blades and spells erupts.

He kills fifteen. But his body breaks. His magic runs dry. An arrow pierces his shoulder. A blade slices his thigh.

Still—he stands.

NEHING:

“For the people!”

A final firestorm spell consumes him.

CHAPTER 5: Ashes and Hope

CHABU awakens with a start. Her children sleep peacefully.

A knock.

At the door stands Nehin’s Champion, wounded and frostbitten after traveling for three months. He collapses into her arms.

CHAMPION:

“He didn’t make it…”

Her scream breaks the mountain silence.

CHAPTER 6: Reunion in Skarchan

Years earlier, Khandapa had returned to Skarchan, heart heavy, power greater than any magician alive. Yet he wandered alone.

One day, he enters a healing temple. A woman tending to injured children glares at him.

MINDOK:

“You still know how to disappear.”

It is Mindok—his childhood friend and neighbor. She used to heal his scrapes when they played in the fields.

Their eyes lock.

Suddenly, they clash—light spells and wind-blasts in reflex. Bottles shatter. They grapple mid-air.

Then—his hand brushes her cheek.

KHANDAPA (softly):

“Mindok?”

MINDOK (whispering):

“Khandapa…”

They collapse into each other’s arms, trembling.

Later, under starlight:

MINDOK (smiling):

“I used to dream you’d come back.”

KHANDAPA:

“You’re the reason I did.”

They kiss under lanterns, long and full of memory. She presses her forehead to his.

MINDOK:

“If you leave again, I’ll find you and drag you home.”

KHANDAPA (smiling):

“I’m already home.”

CHAPTER 7: The Champion's Warning

That night, the Champion arrives, dying.

He delivers Nehing’s last message, whispering:

CHAMPION:

“He stood alone... but he never broke.”

KHANDAPA (to Mindok):

“I made a promise.”

She touches his hand.

MINDOK:

“Then I’ll walk beside you.”

CHAPTER 8: The Last Teleport

Khandapa, the only magician in history capable of world-spanning teleportation, carves runes into the wind.

MINDOK:

“No one has survived teleporting that far.”

KHANDAPA:

“No one has loved someone that far.”

He vanishes in a thunderstorm of light.

CHAPTER 9: Rebellion Rekindled

In Hemestylia, Khandapa reunites with Chabu and her children. They mourn together. He kneels beside Nehing’s grave.

Then—he summons the old allies:

Khasman – the sword-dancer

Khecho – the iron-clad defender

Ringchan – the shadow-scribe

Singy – the twin-blade tactician

Zumchan – the explosive jester

They march once more.

CHABU (softly):

“Burn them down.”

KHANDAPA:

“For Nehing. For us all.”

CHAPTER 10: The Fall of the King

The rebellion sweeps through the land. Cities rise. Magicians defect. Commoners fight beside spellcasters.

Finally, Khandapa confronts the King, a monster cloaked in stolen light.

Their duel shakes the heavens.

With Nehing’s broken sword reforged, Khandapa strikes true.

The king falls. Magic and people become equal. Laws are rewritten.

Peace.

EPILOGUE: The Shadow That Remains

But peace is not easy.

In hidden chambers, secret circles of elite magicians whisper:

“We were born superior.”

“The people are only useful as slaves.”

“The rebellion is temporary.”

They begin to rebuild—a darker, more dangerous force.

In the shadows, they name their new order:

“The Dawnless Flame.”

FINAL SCENE

Khandapa, now older, stands with Mindok beside Nehing’s children, watching them play. Chabu smiles beside them.

MINDOK:

“It’s not over, is it?”

KHANDAPA:

“No. But neither are we.”

He places a hand over his heart.

KHANDAPA:

“As long as we remember him, this flame will never die.”

As the wind howls through the valley, a faint echo of Nehing’s voice can be heard:

NEHING (in memory):

“Brotherhood… never burns out.”

FADE OUT.
