Writing for the Cut — and Finding New Collaborators

Hey everyone - glad to be jumping back into the Stage 32 writing community.

I come from a background in both writing, directing and production, which means I tend to approach screenwriting with a visually driven, editorial eye. My scripts lean toward grounded, character-driven stories - sometimes intimate, sometimes darkly funny, but always with the camera in mind.

Lately I’ve been working as a freelance screenwriter on Upwork - doing everything from full scripts to structure consults, dialogue punch-ups, and visual polish. It’s been a fun way to stay flexible and keep collaborating while juggling other projects.

Would love to connect with other writers here - whether you’re looking for feedback, collaborators, or just swapping battle stories from the page.

Hey, Paul D. Hart. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Screenwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because you're reintroducing yourself and promoting your services. I would've moved your post to the Introduce Yourself Lounge, but you made a post in that Lounge a little while ago.

The Screenwriting Lounge is a place to connect with other screenwriters and find collaborators, and the ways to do that are making helpful/educational posts in the Lounge and commenting on other people’s posts.

Let me know if you have any questions.
