Introduce Yourself : Community by Ryan Viray

Ryan Viray

Community

Hello there! I’m Ryan Viray, an amateur screenwriter who loves cinema. I’m a bit reserved and thoughtful, but I’m excited to introduce myself and connect with others. It’s been about 20 years since I last held a camera or wrote anything because life kept me busy with work and health. Now that things are steadier, I’m thrilled to dive back into my passion, share stories, and collaborate with amazing people. Just being part of this community already feels like an excellent new beginning. Wishing everyone a joyful day and lots of creative energy!

Stage 32 also has a blog for up-and-coming screenwriters I suggest reading (www.stage32.com/blog/the-questions-up-and-coming-screenwriters-need-to-a...).

You're welcome, Ryan Viray. What's your favorite genres to write?

Ryan Viray

Maurice Vaughan Fantasy is always fun to write, and I've written war genres too. Sometimes it's fun to mix and match.

Never too late to get creative... or come back to it. The other week someone on S32 shared a story of making their first film in their 60s.

Ashley Renee Smith

Welcome to the community, Ryan Viray! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here at Stage 32, and I just want to say how glad I am that you’ve found your way back to your creative passion.

If you’re looking to dive in and connect with others, I’d love to invite you to join us for July Filmmakers Club, a month-long celebration of global storytelling and collaboration. Each week, we post creative challenges to help you move your projects forward and engage with fellow filmmakers and writers around the world. This week’s theme is all about finding the right producer to match your genre and style:
