Hello everyone,
I grew up as my father’s “sweet little one” and, after the age of six, held on to life while longing for my father.
As the fourth of seven siblings and my mother’s strong “Monika,” I turned every hardship into strength with my dream of becoming a police officer.
Now, I am turning this true life story into a film and documentary project.

This is interesting Ilay Yılmaz . I wonder if you have also posted in the filmmaking lounge about this. What made you decide to turn your life story into a documentary now? I'm sure you have a lot to talk about regarding your experiences as a police officer.

Hayatımın en zor dönemlerinde, yaşadıklarımı sadece bir anı olarak değil, başkalarına umut verecek bir hikâye olarak aktarmak istedim. Polis olarak görev yaparken yaşadığım deneyimler ve hayatta karşılaştığım tüm zorluklar, bu projeye gerçeklik ve güç katıyor.
Henüz film yapımcılarının odasında paylaşmadım ama yakında orada da duyurmayı planlıyorum.
İlgilenen yapımcılarla bu projeyi detaylıca konuşmaya ve olası işbirliklerini değerlendirmeye açığım.
Şimdi bu hikâyeyi, doğru yapımcılarla buluşup bir film ve belgesel olarak hayata geçirmek için adımlar atıyorum.

During one of the most challenging times in my life, I realized I didn’t just want to keep my experiences as memories, but to share them as a story that could give hope to others. My experiences as a police officer and the hardships I faced in life bring authenticity and strength to this project.
I haven’t shared it in the producers’ lounge yet, but I plan to announce it there soon.
I’m open to discussing this project in detail with interested producers and exploring possible collaborations.
Now, I’m taking steps to bring this story to life as a film and documentary, connecting with the right producers.
