Hey creative team!!!!
A little backstory before the question, on our most recent short film, Atlas Falling, I made all of the props that are seen throughout the film.
It got me thinking that I'd love to build small props or set pieces for other productions, and it could be a way to help fund future projects. I also love to go thrifting for unique items that could either be used as props and set decorations as they are, or could be converted into props and set pieces for films. However, I'd love to get community feedback.
For those of you who self-produce, regardless of genre, what types of props do you often look for?
P.S. I'm also a graphic designer and would love to create graphic props and key art for films.

Unlike set design pieces, I'd say, props I choose are story-specific. For example, I was shooting a film about a fashion designer, so I used sewing and pattern making tools: sewing machine, scissors etc.
