Yesterday, I offered to create an Worldbuilding IP Design example for a screenwriting/logline and @MichaelDzurak reached out to me in the "Introduction Lounge". I enjoyed reading his five synapsis and picked one that resonated with me and been achievable in time. (video on my profile if you on app)
Here is a video slideshow of "ip design draft 1" and a quick run down: (You can read the full logline on the writer profile of Michael Dzurak; my draft contains food for thought, since its an older logline) Draft for CEREUS-BLOOM written by Michael Dzurak , Drama LOGLINE: Two wildly different millennials at uncertain turns in life meet by chance in a busy airport and realize they can each help each other confront painful impasses before life chances slip away. Think: Before Sunrise meets Roman Holiday via Lost in Translation ------- Step by Step run down of my work process on the Design Draft (4-6h): - rereading the script and rethinking the story for later input and suggestions - Brainstorming meaning and possibilities - coming up with a poster design concept = choosing fonts & resonating visual = setting the tone (airport tray asthetic) = photoshop editing ( think colorgrading) - worldbuilding: think environment, mood, cinematography, production design = researching interiors, sets, places = collecting impressions for moodboard = think luts, movie format, camera = transfer impressions into themed world - creative direction on paper, containing keywords etc and guiding infos for visual dep. -coming up with soundscape and music drafts and reference tracks = brainstorming soundscape and mix = collect references and create samples = combine soundscape and music for different scenes - finalize pdf draft and create a video slide show which includes the sound idea -------- These steps are not always in order and multiple tasks flow randomly into each other. This draft one was executed real quick to showcase what's possible and is just a glimpse. Draft two goes already way deeper and the worktime for such an draft can quiet differ depending on the project. I hope you enjoy All tasks and steps been executed by me. the sound idea contains plane, field, hall, duty free environment example and how sounds could be cutted with scenes (think cinematography) The two songs that I picked are reference tracks!

I like this, Yalla Bava! My favorite thing is the soundscape. It really enhances the video. What are some things a creative can use a Worldbuilding IP Design for?

Thank you Maurice Vaughan . Can't wait to share my loglines, just figuring out which ones I will publish since I treat them carefully like babies lmao
My reply became a bit longer so I transformed it to a post in the screenwriting lounge

Thanks for this. The scanner tray concept is cool, really fits the airport setting and themes of liminal space, but here it's not the creepy, just transitory.

You welcome Michael Dzurak . Enjoyed doing it. I like that you used the word "transitory" and not creepy. That's exactly what I saw and tried to achieve.
