Faceless – When You Fall for the Thing That Was Meant to Break You

A lonely boy struggling with depression and bipolar disorder begins seeing a strange figure. Pale. Thin. Faceless—or so he thinks. It silently watches him, appears out of nowhere, and pushes him to do reckless things. Like a ghost that never speaks, only haunts.

As his life crumbles—losing his job, his sanity—something shifts. He’s no longer afraid.

One night, in a moment of despair, he hugs the figure… and for the first time, sees its face. A soft, pretty, shy boy. Turns out, the "faceless" thing always had a face—he just couldn’t see it from a distance because of his poor eyesight.

From that day on, everything changes. The ghost still tries to scare and manipulate him, but now… the boy only smiles. He answers fear with affection. Destruction with warmth.

“Faceless” is a queer psychological concept with a touch of dark humor—about how sometimes, the thing that almost kills you becomes the only reason you stay alive.

I'm new to Stage32 and just beginning to share my story ideas here. I'm always open to feedback, questions, or connections – feel free to reach out if you're interested! :)

Hey, Elyen Noir. Welcome to the community. Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...

And the next Community Open House is August 27th. It’ll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros. There's going to be a live Q&A. You can sign up for free here: www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-august-community-open-house Even if you can't make it live, sign up and you’ll get the recording in your Education Library when it’s available.

I suggest using a photo of yourself as your profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. You can upload a picture by clicking the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu, then clicking the red button underneath your location and choosing "Update profile picture."

Faceless sounds interesting. It's a unique spin on ghost haunting stories. "The thing that almost kills you becomes the only reason you stay alive" could be the tagline.

Hello, Maurice Vaughan.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the helpful links – I’ll definitely check them out!

I really appreciate the kind words about Faceless – and that tagline? Chef’s kiss. Might steal it

I’m just getting started here so I’m still figuring things out, but I’m super excited to share more and connect with other creatives.

Thanks again for taking the time to write – it means a lot!

You're welcome, Elyen Noir. You're welcome to use that tagline. You came up with it. I just pointed out that it could be the tagline.

Once you write the script, you could post it on your profile. Producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

And I'm a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. If you ever have any questions about Stage 32, let me or another Lounge Moderator know. We have badges on our pictures. Or you could email support@stage32.com.
