I’m Dwayne Williams, an ultra–high concept to high concept IP creator based out of Arlington, Virginia, specializing in fantasy, horror, and sci-fi. Right now, I’m focused on reshaping the fantasy genre through new tech integration and creature design, really pushing the visual identity of worlds, magic, and mythology.
I’ll be open for collaboration starting in November.
I’ve attached an image from one of my current projects, and I’d love to get your thoughts:
How do you feel about a witch without a broom… but instead using a completely new device?
Would love to hear from both creators and fantasy fans — does changing such an iconic element feel exciting, or does it risk losing too much tradition?

Hey, Dwayne Williams 2. I think a witch with a new device is an interesting idea! I think changing iconic elements in stories is exciting! Thanks for the idea.

Perfect, Maurice Vaughan I needed that fresh perspective. Do you think the board should have its own unique design, like demonic/cult symbols, to really make it part of the witch’s identity?

I like that idea, Dwayne Williams 2! And it could be the comic relief if you want.

How do you feel about the idea that touching the witch’s board could trigger possession through its etched symbols?

That's great my friend

Great idea! And maybe the only way to get rid of the possession is by hopping on the board and giving it a ride.

I like that too, Dwayne Williams 2. I think there's a lot you could do with the board.

I think the idea is brilliant but the reasoning behind why a witch would opt for a board instead of a broomstick would have to be iron-clad in order for the audience to buy into it and not see it as comedic.

Thanks Behnam Hojati, I appreciate the support!

That’s a cool angle Titan Frey, but I was aiming more for the idea that no one could ride it except a witch. The curse etched into the board makes it a true symbol of witches, bound only to them.

Thanks Kwesi L. Lewis! I was actually thinking of it with more of a Green Goblin–style effect — a long board crafted from a sacred tree, making it a unique witch symbol rather than just a broom replacement.

Hey Dwayne, I'm at a conference basically next door, in DC. Sending regards from one creator to another!

Hello Christopher Shank, that’s awesome, sending regards right back from Arlington! Always great to know fellow creators are close by. Hope the conference is treating you well.
Maurice Vaughan Kwesi L. Lewis How does this board feel to you? Do you think it needs a more distinct look?

Sorry, Dwayne Williams 2. I don't give feedback on AI images.
Maurice Vaughan Yeah, I feel you. I used to do car design for a few years before AI started taking over things. I still practice in my free time, but I’m also very comfortable using AI now because I’ve got a long history in art, drawing schools, and camps. Honestly, it took me about six years to finally accept it and start using it as a tool. Now I see it as a way to build on my foundation faster instead of replacing it.

Hey Dwayne, the board has a very distinct look already. Anything more would be overkill.

It reminds me of back to the future but with a harry potter twist would be epic as a Hollywood movie
