My name is Dan, I've been working as a screenwriter since 2018 with credits on multiple shows. I'm currently developing a project at Netflix that I sold as a pitch last year. While I mostly operate in TV, I've had films optioned as well. I started this profile to give advice and support other emerging screenwriters. Don't be a stranger!

Hello Daniel, incredible and very inspiring journey, what is this current project at Netflix? And thank you very much for coming to stage 32 to help others, it's a very respectable gesture and sharing. I am also a young emerging on this platform so you are welcome.

Hey thanks for reaching out. I'm a horror writer and while I can't talk about what the show is, it should be a fun, scary mystery for those that are looking for a True Detective style show with a supernatural twist ;)

There is certainly a part of luck, but you also have to know how to seize every opportunity, and of course, put in a lot of work. Creating your own signature is important too; in the end, no one is better than the other, it’s about finding your own voice.

Hey Isaac,
I sold it as a pitch, but I had written a draft of the pilot a while ago as a writing sample to staff in writer's rooms, but by the time I had finished the pitch the pilot needed to be changed a lot.
If you're not in LA, I would say try and find a talented director to partner with and try and finance/shoot your movie yourselves. The other best resource to break in is the Blacklist website. That's where I had my film optioned.
