Book-to-Film Adaptation Opportunity – Successful Entrepreneur turned Thief & Gambler

Hello,

I am reaching out to share my memoir, Successful Entrepreneur turned Thief & Gambler (now available on Amazon), which I believe has strong potential for film or television adaptation.

This true story follows my journey as one of Africa’s youngest CEOs at 19, through betrayal, financial collapse, and a dangerous gambling addiction, to the fight for redemption. It’s a raw account of ambition, downfall, and resilience — themes that resonate with audiences worldwide.

The book has already begun attracting reader interest and is positioned within the popular true crime and memoir markets. With its cinematic rise-and-fall arc, comparable to The Wolf of Wall Street and Molly’s Game, I believe it could make a compelling biographical drama or limited series.

I would be delighted to provide you with a one-page pitch and additional materials, for your consideration.

Thank you for your time, and I would be honored to explore the possibility of working together to bring this true story to the screen.

Warm regards,

Thomas Thellas

Dear Thomas Thellas , Thank you for sharing your news, congratulations! Since your post is promotional in nature, it’s better suited for the Your Stage Lounge rather than the Producing Lounge. I’ll go ahead and move it there so it reaches the right audience.

Hi Thomas Thellas - as a long-time screenwriter with experience of adapting novels for the screen, I'd be more than happy to discuss in more detail a screen adaptation of your memoir. Do feel free to message me here if you would like to talk further.

Thomas - I'm a big biog fan. Just started on the life of Robert Capa, In dev on the life of Roger Casement. My script was invited to pitch at the Berlin film festival last year. In saying that I'm more a director than writer but always up for a chat. Phil above would probaly be your better bet at the moment but sounds interesting. You plan to direct it?

Thomas Thellas

Rob Kelly Hello. Thank you for your message. I dont come from the industry to directing might be a stretch for me, am originally a business entrepreneur, am really trying to figure out how to open doors in order to get my novel/story noticed by producers as i really think its a unique story and would make a great movie or even mini series
