Medium dot com offers a monthly service for a very modest fee that provides six different voices to instantly voice back one's written words. Although the cadence is not always ideal, the ability to instantly playback one's written word, in a separate voice from own's own mental voice, can provide instant feedback to how one's script is coming along. Ideally, being able to use multiple voices for multiple characters would be a better option, but I do not believe multiple voices is an option.
Thanks for letting me know! I do have medium, but I don't use it for scripts I use it for articles. I didn't even know you could use it for scripts.
Wow, that's very cool Alessandro. Thanks for the tip. Tools like the one described will only make it easier writers around the world to workshop and table read projects without having to have a huge network of creatives (although we love our creative network!). Cool to see more possible barriers to entry being broken down and the power landing in creatives hands!
There probably is something out there that is better simply because only voice can be used at a time. However, for the Documentary I was writing, it enabled me to do instant playback, and rewrites. Unfortunately, the cadence was not ideal. You can view the Documentary about the 2023 Writers and Actors Strike here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlAwL0PpckU
